I wanted to be a writer when I grew up but somehow I ended up as a reader and as a translator of someone else's work and I still can't decide what's wrong with this picture...probably because they shouldn't exclude one another...I study linguistics, English being my major, Spanish my minor...and reading my true heart's desire... I translate by... more »

Am glad you're enjoying it! Yes, Frank's ideas are pretty original and I really love her takes on the paranormal demoniac world! As for lover mine, I liked the romance in it, but the whole "action" parts were somewhat overshadowing it, I really hated the flashbacks so I skipped thru them a lot since it was pretty obvious were it was heading! It was great to be so close to John's character! But what I looooooved was the relationship between his bestfriends, how they are suffering from the whole "gay" issue, pushing each other away even when they both know their feelings are already set. I hope that we'll have a book revolving around them. Am also curious about Payne and who she'll end up with, since all of the main brothers are already taken! I think it's a pity we don't get much of the previous relationships we read about in the other books, we don't get to see the brothers a lot too and they were the reason why we kept on reading in the first place, yes we get to see them here and there but there's isn't really any insight on how their relationship are going except that well they are happy with their shellan, I'd love to see more of them like in the first 5 books.

Hey! I saw that you added The Nightwalkers! Happy reading~~

I loved Zsadist's story! I really like that character, he is deep and complicated in a very good way, I didn't like Bella that much though but hey it's called BDB not Shellans XD

Thanks for the insight on Rhev's book, am definitely going to skip it, I really can't stand that guy. I don't really get why all of a sudden J.R. Ward chose to switch the urban fantasy, am not a big fan of urban fantasy, it lacks something in my opinion, but am definitely reading Lover Mine soon.

Am glad you shared with me your memories about reading, I really understand the feeling to be "childlish" once more, it has a soothing power mixed with nostalgia and it's just magical for as long as you keep on reading. To be a book lover is one of the best things in the world, I never could understand people who looked down on books, saying it's a boring activity...they really don't know what they are missing!

I hate twilight XD I really really reeeeeeeaally can't stand those books, Meyer turned vampires into something so...random! I mean seriously; sparkling? why on earth would you imagine something like that! That just ruins everything, not to mention the fact that Edward apparently can get someone pregnant with his dead body...big no no.

I was forced to study German this year...I don't like it, I don't like the way it sounds, the way you need to overpronounce things and twist your mouth and it's just nooooo. Few years back, I wanted to be a translator myself, but well, never gonna happen XD now am too far into Marketing to take that huge U-turn...I love languages, would love to be able to speak italian, I was never a big fan of Spanish, though reading Perfect Chemistry I was kinda forced to since there are some sentences thrown at you here and there XD It's a nice language, I just don't click with it you know...Japanese and Korean are two languages that'd love to master, I'll give it a try after graduation, things like that need there own time, right?

As you said we're still young! there's a lot to see and learn out there and I totally get the need for a new thing, a fresh thing, something that will bring up the new motivation you need to really get into it. You can go back to French later, sure.

    Good luck with your exam!

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll definitely read them as soon as I get a hold of them, I do have a thing for Geisha stories!
As far as BDB goes, I couldn't get past Phury's story because, in my opinion, that's the weakest character in the book. I didn't read Rhavenge story because I hate the dude XD HOWEVER am very curious about this 7th book for I noticed that a lot of people joins your view on it, so I might try it out! I'll keep you posted once am done, you seem very fond of that story!
You really seem to enjoy paranormal romance so now am gonna make a suggestion lol you NEED to (yes neeeeed to) read Jacquelyn Frank's series "The Nightwalkers" it's a total must read for any paranormal romance lover, you'll see it's worth it (well I sure as hell hope you'll feel it that way XD) it's about Demons mainly but the nightwalker race has got more to it, the fourth book actually centers around a vampire, there are shapshifters in there too. Frank managed to really create an amazing universe, and every character is solid, deep and will win your heart surely! Thanks for accepting the add. On an unrelated topic, why did you major in Spanish and not French for instance?

Hi Mirugirl, you asked me about reading Bewitching by Jill Barnett and One Night of Love by Mary Balogh. It's been so long since I've read them that I honestly don't remember them any longer. I have read many books by these authors, especially Mary Balogh, and have enjoyed them. Dawn
