I work full time at the high school library in my children's school district. Because of this I don't have as much time to read as I'd like. I enjoy listening to books downloaded on my MP3 player. It is a great way... more »

I just started the third Twilight. I would have probably stopped with the series until I read your thoughts. THANKS!

It was a relief to see you didn't care for Gillead. I gave up on on it. I hope you enjoy the second Twilight. They are pretty quick, not real well-written reads. I know there's alot of discussion on the damage they can do to younger women['bad boyfriend' syndrome ;-)], but I enjoyed it.

Hi, Angela. Sorry for the long delay in answering your note. I haven't been on shelfari much the past couple months. We do seem to have a lot in common.
Did you finish The Whistling Season? I found it quite slow at the beginning, but once Rose arrived, I enjoyed it much more. It was an enjoyable book, I thought.

ok il tell you what i think of the book after i read it. i still havent read twilight yet and it was recommended to me by my friends. i heard it was good but i just havent gotten a chance to read it. did you like it? and i see wat you mean that your daughter isnt old enough to read the twilight series. its more of a book for highschool students and above. but i know some people younger than me read twilight so i guess it depends on the parent.

yea the teachers in my highschool and the librarian also read YA books. i would know because im a ta in the library and i get to know when new books arrive=)

Hi Angela, I am going to send you an invitation to the Women of Faith group right now. Are your mother and sister Christians as well? Please feel free to invite them to the group as well. We love to hear from all of our Christian sisters around the country and around the world.

    Blessings,

Yes, I think it can be a wonderful tool. Since I have an ongoing list of books I've read, I was able to put a few of the ones I really liked on my bookshelf. I will put a few on as I go along, and hopefully, can reap the rewards of some good ideas.
