I am a student at Michigan State University and I major in Advertising and Creative Writing. I have read many books in the past(especially for my English major) and I just can't seem to keep track of them so I found Shelfari to be perfect for this purpose. Plus, I am always looking for new material to read.

    I read Manic back in November. I liked it because it was so real, but I didn't really like the way it skipped around chronologically. Overall, though, I'd say it was a good representation of Bipolar disorder. What are you reading now?

    Oh cool. I've really wanted to read that for a while now but I haven't gotten around to it yet. Have you heard of Hurry Down Sunshine? It's a book about Bipolar disease written from the viewpoint of the girls father. I haven't read it but I heard it was O.K.

    Let's see...I read it about four years ago, so it's kind of hard to remember the plot, but you can just look that up anyway. I thought it was a riveting read, it definitely kept the pages turning. Parts of it are pretty graphic, but that's too be expected. Toward the end it sort of drags, but you really feel for her as a person and end up routing for her. A great book to read on the beach or anywhere you want to appall old people ;)
