So I did and that started me to thinking, why not write down other recipes too and then why not write a cookbook for my... more »

Gosh-darn! All my friends are "out-booking" me. I'm reading so many that I don't have time to get them up here. But soon. Happy 4th!

I thought to join your group. Since you are the admin, you should be the first to post. I was going to do an intro. :)

I never measure, but for baking breads and the like. Those flop well enough on their own. I also improvise a bit. Anything with cream of mushroom soup will automatically get changed to a different cream of --- soup. I can pick those mushrooms out of a dish someone else makes. Yuck!
I recently saw a description for an updated cookbook that said they put standard measures in replacing, "A glop of ____" or a "pinch of______". I would have preferred seeing the original measurements and would have understood them quite well.

Oh I found you over at the Admin group. :)

I had crescent rolls and found your recipe for breakfast pinwheels. I had to substitute ham for the bacon, but they were delicious and got gobbled down quickly. Today I am baking a lower fat/calorie banana bread made with light cooking oil, 1 egg and 2 whites, and 2 c. flour and 1 c. oatmeal. I'll let you know what I think when it comes out of the overn!

Hi Martha, just added two books to my shelf and, of course, I have your cookbook. In fact, I used it this morning....checking out the breakfast bars to make sometime this week. Hope all is well with you.
