Welcome to 1001 books. You can keep track of the books you have read from the book, 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die, join in the discussions on the books we are reading for the month (BOTM) or you can debate the merits of the list as some enjoy doing. We hope you will want to join in the choosing of BOTM and the discussions. The current books are pinned to the top for that month. There are older discussions that can be found by searching discussions. If there is any way the group administrator can help further feel free to ask one of us. If you don’t own the book the list can be found at the top in the group description or at http://www.listology.com/content_show.cfm?content_id=22845. it can be both for adults and children.
i am on facebook also, perhaps I can catch you there.
I totally understand! The internets are very, very addictive ;)I've been reading mostly junk, as usual--with the exception of the January group read over at BBD, which was Hopscotch (and very, very uh... taxing to my poor brain :D). I just started All the Pretty Horses by Cormac McCarthy to try to get me out of junk mode; going to pick up the February read from the library here in a few days... and then go back to some good old-fashioned junk reading :D I'm also super-excited about the new Christopher Moore, I hope I am able to get a copy from the library fairy quickly!
Hi there--sorry I haven't replied to you! It is funny how similar our tastes in books are--just looking at your shelf I see things I've read or have been interested in that aren't even on my shelf. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
I was looking through some of the books on my shelf & came to Savages by Shirley Conrad & saw that you had written a review. So I popped in to look at your shelf & saw that you were a member of Play Book Tag! I am one of the administrators there. So I took a peek at your shelf. What a great collection! I haven't had a chance to go through all of it, but I've already added one to my Wish List. I haven't seen you at PBT. Please come join us for this months tag England. We would love to see you there!
hahah thanks! it was at this awesome second-hand book store in the city (Newtown, Sydney Australia); i swear its MASSIVE. I went there with my sister for the first time and my eyes began to water due to the extensive amount of books that were stocked there. It was great =]
Thanks for looking at my shelf -- it's nice to know someone is interested!
Thanks for the nice note. I hope you enjoy whatever you spotted on my shelf :D!
You are so kind. I always wonder if anyone is ever reading those reviews! It's good to know someone actually is. Thank you for your kind words.
