"I know that I know nothing" - Socrates

I am 17 years old and I began reading in May 2007. The first novel I read was Thr3e by Ted Dekker, and still remains one of my all-time favorites, and it is the one that toned my love for books. I enjoy the authors Ted Dekker, Harlan Coben, Dean Koontz, John Grisham, James... more »

I'm looking forward to be one of those who will read your novel first. It's good that you start writing at young age. Thanks for adding me in your friends list.

Happy New Year! Looks like you got a few books for Christmas?? And I am glad you are loving the Harry Bosch series! Connelly is an awesome writer. The series does not get stale as it extends.
Take care. Talk to you soon.

Dear Jared: I’m an author from Massachusetts. My debut novel HUNTING THE KING was published in April. It has received high praise from Booklist, ForeWord Magazine and the Midwest Review. If you enjoy reading a good thriller, you may well like HUNTING. The story revolves around a charismatic young woman named Molly O’Dwyer. Molly was five years old when she witnessed her mother's death in a fire. She never knew her father. After her mother's death, she was raised on the campus of a Jesuit college in Boston. Now an archaeologist, she is recruited to participate on a dig in war torn Iraq. As a scientist she is compelled to know who or what is buried under the sands of ancient Babylon. As a loyal Catholic, she is scared that what she finds may have devastating consequences for her faith. There is an awesome YouTube book trailer well worth watching to give you an idea of the power of the book. Thanks.

It's so nice to hear back fromyou. our Thanksgiving was wonderful! My husband and youngest son made dinner, which is a treat, and my mother and uncle joined us for dinner.
That's awesome that your whole family can get together for a holiday! We used to be able to, but with all the children growing up and getting jobs, it's just not possible anymore. I do miss those days.
My husband is teaching our sons to play golf. The oldest picked it up very quick, but the youngest is still trying to adjust and find clubs that "fit".
I noticed you weren't reading, but I remember you told me about the Scarlet Letter. It is not easy to read when you have a very busy schedule.
I think Connelly's Bosch series is great! I own most of them and I have read all of them so far.
I am trying to finish reading John Connolly's Charlie Parker series. It has some really graphic murders and a little bit of paranormal creeps in, but it is not considered paranormal genre.
You can probably see I am reading quite an eclectic collection from murder mysteries to romances. I've got Neal Gaiman's "Neverwhere" on my TBR, as well as Paul Coehlo's "The Witch of Portobello". You could probably check out my shelf (I am Reading) if you have the chance. If I have the book at home or from the library, i generally put them on that shelf. I definitely cannot read more than one book at a time!!
Take care, do well in school before your Christmas break (another 'Mom' thing!)
