This was a very interesting companion to the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. It gave you more background on the brothers, interviews with them, and a lot more insight into what Ward thinks of when writing the series and her process for writing them as well.

This is one of the most amazing books that I have ever read. The writing is absolutely beautiful, and it's one of the most original and creative stories that I have ever encountered. It will make you laugh, cry, and most of all, it will make you fall in love with the characters that are portrayed. The story and writing never get dull, and there were countless moments where I had a hard time putting the book down. I recommend it to everyone, you won't be disappointed.

Wow, I was really surprised that I liked this book so much even though it wasn't anything like a Black Dagger Brotherhood book. Well, John definitely had a lot of resemblance to the brothers in my opinion, but this was just a romance/suspense novel and I was definitely intrigued by the story the whole time. I actually finished it in just a few days. This makes me want to read more of her contemporary romance novels, and I hope that she continues to write more of them.

This was a pretty decent read, although not as good as Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series. But maybe it was a little slow because it's the first book of the series and this is the time where the foundation is still being set. So overall it was definitely not bad, but I guess I'll have a more developed reaction as I read the next book, Crave.

Nice story, but I would have liked to see more fight scenes with Payne. I also feel that the book focused a little too much on V and Jane's relationship and not enough on Payne and Manny's. But despite all this, it was a good book, and you'll like it if you're a fan of the series.

This was an awesome addition to the series. I've loved the progression of John and Xhex's relationship, and it's great to see that it all worked out for them in the end. I highly recommend it!

It wasn't all that bad because it featured the stories of other characters like John Matthew and Rhevenge. Those were the best parts of the book. But the actual main story about Phury, oh my God! All he did was complain! He just annoyed me, and I didn't really see what was so great about Cormia either. First book in the series that I really wasn't too crazy about. But you have to read it to get into Lover Avenged, which was an awesome book, and it also sets up a lot of other interesting storylines.

This was a great addition to the series. I absolutely loved Rhevenge's character, and I felt that his relationship with Ehlena and his back story were definitely two of the most well developed storylines in the series.

This was an overall good read, though it seemed a little too rushed in some places. But then again I've always been a fan of short, sweet, and to the point.
