    Hey Babe,
I love House, although I've seen it about a dozen times. I don't really get to watch TV at night because of doing homework with the little one. But I catch it every now and then and my oldest daughter has a season on DVD. He is mean but you have to love him because he is such a good doctor and I have always been partial to doctor shows. He is so rotten it's funny.Did you know that he is British in real life?
I will probably vote for McCain but mainly because of moral issues like abortion and
stuff like that. I am not really happy with either one. I liked Huckabee more than the others but he's not in the running anymore.
I sure hope somebody does something good for this country because things are getting pretty bad.
    Well, I'm off to bed.
    Take care sweetie--Nancy

My daughter Melody was on in My name for a little while and didn't realize it. I was in the middle of making a pizza and just kind of burned my hand so I wasn't really on. I'm okay --just needed cold water over it. How are you sweetie? I haven't talked to you in awhile. I just finished reading --"The Kite Runner" And "Ten Thousand Spendid Suns". I think that's the name of the last one. Really heart wrenching great books.
You should read them if you haven't. So what are you up to? Are you in school? What ya been reading lately?
    Love ---nancy

Hi Juliana. I just wanted to answer your question from the Shelfari Admin group. When you close a question it just closes the question that you asked, it doesn't block questions about the book from other members. There are certainly improvements that can be made to the feature to help reduce the volume of questions asked about the same book. I'll pass along your request to our development team. Best, Amanda

Hehehe... I experienced the same thing, especially when reading a popular book. To avoid it I've begun reading obscure books no one's heard about. (Not really.) I like the question feature & try to answer them all but for some reason I get bumped back to my profile on every second or third question & sometimes I really want to add a note. So I just hunt people down & hassle them. Shelfari REALLY needs to fix that annoying glitch; but I haven't yet found the complaints dept.

The Previews look good, and think is going to do well since so many young teens are into the Twilight series i think they are a bit curious how close the movie is going to be to the book.

But hey i guess we will see when the movie is released.

Ok, now I finally have the time to comment on some of your books.
    Books you have read -
You have two Jodi Picoult books there, I have read all of her books! She is one of my favorite authors. actually some of her other books are better than the ones you have read.
Of Mice and Men, one of my fav. books from high school!
To kill a Mocking Bird, Diary of Anne Frank, Loved them both!
Bridge to Terabithia - saw the movie, CRIED!!!!!

    Plan to read -
Into the wild - good but was slow in spots.
The Stand - very good but longggggg.
the Pact - You will love this book, at least I think you will. Very good!
Second glance (well lets just say all her books are basically great) I have read all of Jodi Picoults books she is one of my Favs.
the Cape Series by Terri Blackstock are all good, mystery
Where the Heart is - OH my gosh!!!! Excellent! You will really love this book, funny, sad, shocking, quirky it has everything! don't watch the movie it doesn't even compare!
OHHH, One flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest - another great book and the movie was Excellent too!!!
Go Ask Alice - Great! You will also really like this one.

Recommendations that are not on your list -
Looking for Alaska by John Green - popular book, for good reasons! It is great, it is a Young Adult book I loved it!

Hey--tried to respond to your question about Fight Club but got booted. Yes, you should read it. I have not seen the movie but enjoyed the book. I do think it's overrated & somewhat predictable, but it has some great humour & some truly original ideas. It is fast-paced & a quick read. Worth giving a shot.
