I had a fascination for books as a child, although noone in my family liked to read or write and had any remarkable artistic talent. When I was a 2-year-old, I had a habit of carrying books to the backyard of our home saying that I was going to college. I would bring the books back again saying that it was a holiday. Or I would browse through those pages as if I was learning. And the book I carried was a text of Economics.


And on the first day, on my way to nursery, I followed my cousin who was fetching a bus to college, saying I too wanted to go with him. One of our relations, a priest interfered and stopped me. I could not remember, why I was attracted to art ( any form of it ) when my parents or anyone in the family had never exhibited any such trait. Why, I was the only one who wanted to be famous as an artist....? « less
