Hi Marisa,"Bad Bridesmaid" is a fun read, but a bit repetitive. It certainly isn't a social history or intellectually stimulating commentary! Since it is entirely anecdotal, it is like a gossip session with a group of women. This can be fun and cathartic, but my recommendation would be to read this book when you want something light-hearted, and also to borrow it or get a second hand copy--I don't think I would buy it new:) Hope this helps,Regards,Laura

Hi Marisa, Thanks for the note. My reading actually is mostly nonfiction, business, history, economics, etc. But on self esteem I can tell you the classic is Nathaniel Branden's The Six Pillars of Self-Esteem. Very good book, wish I would have read it as a teen. Ron
