Aimee, thanks for the invite. CJ (Captain Jackie) is now a 2 1/2 year old beautiful 98% chocolate Siamese. Found her in our train layout in the backyard. Thought she was a Captain Jack until went to the vet. LOL. She keeps me company..what a character. Love you cat as well. Had a black and white cat many years ago named Bootsie. Also a black and white when I was small called Pfeffer Katzen. (Pepper Cat) when we lived in Germany.
I just dont want to change CJ's baby picture. Thanks again

well, first of all, I can tell you I haven't been on here forever! I discovered facebook and I've been busy with that. I intend to update my shelfari account all the time, because I do see the value. I'm in a bookclub and I love having a record of everything I've read documented somewhere, but quite frankly I'm not really keen to all the changes I encounter everytime I turn around in Shelfari. Anyway...my last great book was called "All over but the Shoutin" it is a biography by Rick Bragg. I loved it. It was very different from my usual type of book, but I'm finding with my bookclub selections that I'm reading so many things I wouldn't normally read, which is great! That is terriffic news that you've got a new niece/nephew on the way. Aren't they the greatest!
Anyway...write back and let me know what you are reading too. I love to hear what my shelfari friends like. It helps me know what to suggest for bookclub choices!

    Hi Aimee,

Thank you for the friend request. I declined because I don't like the way that Shelfari manages that data. Feel free, however, to drop me a note anytime.

    Thanks again,

Hi Lola! I'm from the Author Author group and just wanted to welcome you to our group. As you might already know, January's "featured" author is Neil Gaiman, and we have two "secondary" authors, Ursula Le Guin and Terry Pratchett. If you're interested, you can choose a book written by one of these three authors, and after you've read it, please come post a review and star rating so the rest of us in the group know what you read and whether you liked it or not. Happy Reading!

I know my welcome is a bit late, but we're just getting caught up!
