I am loving this great desire of mine to plunge into books! I know that I have Stephenie Meyer to thank for it. She brought it out in me and it feels so exhilarating sinking my teeth *winkwink* into another fabulous book! I am a happy mom. When I am not working, I cherish any and all time with my kids. And then... MY time for reading! WOOT! I... more »

Have you finished First Drop of Crimson yet??? And those 3 Jacquelyn Frank books... I've read them all and loved them!! The last one is really two storie fused together, starting with one set of characters then moving to another set and they come together in the end. Thought I'd tell you because I've seen reviews where others didn't care for it because it seemed confusing in the beginning. Now you know so just enjoy it.

I also read The Last Hellion and LOVED it!! I've LOVED all the Loretta Chase books I've read. I don't think I could read another historical romance author and not compare them to Loretta's style. Did you read Not Quite a Lady? If you haven't, you should. I loved the two main characters and their story was excellent.

    HUGS!!!

I'm glad you saw my review. I'm glad you enjoyed Austenland and Book of a Thousand Days. They're on my to read list. I hope to get to them eventually. How are you doing anyway? I haven't talked to you for a while.

I have just finished Sookie Stackhouse book 8. I tried to forget what you had said, but fortunately I think everything you mentioned happens in like the first couple of chapters, so...I left a comment on the page for it. I have to say, I was a little disappointed with it. I'll repost my comments here if you want or whatever. I felt a little bit like she was getting rid of some characters a little bit arbitrarily. Like, Oh, yeah, Quinn, he's just gonna be a plot point for this book, sorry. Which is too bad, because although I don't dislike Quinn, he seemed really get the shaft in this. As did Bill. I still don't like Eric. I think he's interesting and funny but he's too much into himself and tends to take Sookie for granted. And poor Bob! Amelia and her mentor really f***ed up there.

I have this unfortunate tendency to remember movie and book spoilers and forget pesky details like if people are married, how I know them, why they're not talking to me, how much money I owe people, what books I've lent to people, etc. But I'll make a conscious effort to forget crucial plot points of the next book, if at all possible.

Wow, you're farther along than I am. I've got a few library books due that I have to get through. One that I'm enjoying is the Warden's first book called Leaping Hearts. It's a typical romance, but it's set in the horse world. I've been trying to read some of my favorite authors first published works and that's one of them. Now, if I could figure our Lara Adrian's first...I think she was writing under Tina St. John, but I'm not sure if that's her first. I'm trying to savor Sookie, but I'll probably start reading Dead as a Doornail in the next day or two. Hahahaha...eeny-meeny-miney-moe! Isn't that the truth! Wonder who she'll end up with...they're all great but they have their flaws.

Hi Neave! Isn't Sookie just pure greatness? Love her independence, plus her ability to attract the most incredible men. Just finished the part in Club Dead where she wakes up to find Eric, Alcide and Bill all hovering over her. Eeny-meeny-miney-moe...

I hope your week slows down a bit. It's been lonely w/o you around as much. Yay for Sookie. I'm on DttW and I'm trying to pace myself. I love it when Pam and Chow are at her house and Eric is on the floor at her feet and she's petting him.

Hi, Neave! *waves* How fun to see you over here on shelfari! I need to catch up with all you fabulous females on this Charlaine Harris and Lara Adrian business! I really need that 25th hour in the day at some point, so that I'm not always six books behind. Hahaha! Maybe I'll catch up by the time you all get around to re-reading them. :-)

Oh Neave, we are kindred spirits then! I have only read the first three Harry Potter books. It is a goal of mine to reread the first three and then continue with the rest of the series. I enjoyed them, but just strayed away from them for awhile. What we need to do is find us a yummy warrior vampire with the special power to add more hours to the day. I might get caught up on my reading and have a clean house! Ha ha!

Female! NERD??? You only have 39 books on your shelf!!! That's really not very nerdy. Somewhere on your home page it asks if you want to invite your friends from your email list...You do have Lara Adrian on your email don't you? Invite her!!! I did! I would love to see what she reads and JR Ward for that matter and we need to invite Stephenie but I think we'll have to go through that site we go on all the time (I'm not going to spell it out here) and invite her! You know they don't have anything else to do besides write a bunch of books!!!
