“Extremely entertaining. A fast read. Colourful characters. Minus two stars for the lack of a brilliant plotline....”

I don't really find his earlier works interesting. But I love his Alex Cross series. Once I start reading, confirm cannot stop! I also like the way JP describes the villians - each of their profiles is unique.I definitely recommend you this series.

Yes, I added both of those to my 'to read' shelf; also /From a Catapillar to a Butterfly/. I appeciated your reviews of those books. I can read on trains and planes, but not in any type in motor vehicles of any type; buses, cars, trucks etc. I get car sick instantly. We're sisters in that way.
I enjoyed browsing your shelves and added a few of yours to my own.

Hi! Having read your random habits, I'd like to say that I can read on traveling vehicles, namely bus and commuter train. I developed this habit when I was working at previous company. I had to travel by bus, then by commuter train, which took to 2hours+ to office, and 2hours+ to go home. Because the buses and the trains weren't always punctual, and I hated waiting game, so I'd read a book, and continue reading it in the bus/train on the way home. I find this habit very useful during that time, and especially because I am an impatient person, reading books while waiting/traveling had a calming effect on me 8-)

eh sila eh cik puan. i have 96 books now! hehe. but this isnt a contest pun kan. theres so many books i want to read. grr.
About Patricia Cornwell, I kinda got hooked to her works by friend's recommendation. Maybe because when I was little, I enjoyed reading Nancy Drew and Famous Five so much. I can guess why Cornwell isn't your stuff. Her detailed description can be too much sometimes, and her plot is always mind boggling. Oh ya, correction for the previous notes: it's supposed to be Mort, but I wrote Most instead. Haiyaa..
Did you mean to say Mort (terry pratchet)?I can still recall the plot, although it's a bit foggy. It's about Death, while doing his job, he encountered a man (Most) willing to be his protege. Why Mort volunteered himself I can't remember. But what I can recall about Death character in this novel is not only he reserved some compassion, he could also eat and drink like human beings. The rest, aaah, foggy..

yea i read the guardian. and its good! ive never been so nervous and scared when reading a book before. i literally had goosebumps reading it. scary dok. haha. :p that guy is such a psycho. *shivers* this book shows that theres always something wrong with a 'perfect guy'. everyone has flaws, so when one is too perfect, you gota put on your radar, just for safety precautions.
Who cares? Everyone is entitled to her/his opinion. Even Coelho himself acknowledges the fact that there are people out there who dislike/hate his work (stated in Like The Flowing River). You've saved me a few bucks, too. I was planning to buy more of his novels, but was unsure which ones would be worthwhile. ( I'm not very fond of The Witch of Portobello and Like The Flowing River)
Hi there!I read that particular review on the public review column, where all reviews of the same book are gathered. I think it's really cool of you to come up with such an honest opinion, especially the Islamic part. I myself find Coelho's works to be so much injected with Christianity and some of his thoughts to be so unreal. Therefore, to find someone else with the same wavelength is such huge a relief.
Salam.I'm attracted to your book review on Coelho's The Zahir. Will you be my Shelfari friend, please? I'm currently experimenting with all types of genres (or rather, authors) to widen my reading spectrum. Coelho is one of them.
lol. i actually havent read the book, but im planning to.i got it a lil mixed up. did you watch the series? its taking America by storm. watched, and i like it. heh. (:your choice of books seems interesting. shall try reading some.
