I'm a SAHM to 5. I've loved reading for as long as I can remember. My taste on reading is pretty much all over the place, the only thing I haven't been able to get into is Sci-Fi. I read every chance I get! I've even gone as far as to have a book in the car and read at stop lights.

Yea, I know A Thread of Truth is the second book, but I wanted to read it because of I liked to sound of the story. If I like this I will go back and read the first one. The first book didn't sound that great to me, so I am going the wrong way!! LOL thanks

Hi Jessica, the books you just finished sound really good to me. I am planning on read The Girls from Ames, and "Forever Changes" sounds good too.
What did you think of Wednesday Sisters? I loved it. I liked all the history and how much we can see how womens lives have changed. I loved Kath, when she rammed her husband on the highway. That was my favorite part, what about you? :-)Karen

If you liked The Girls from Ames, you might enjoy my new novel as well, which focuses in part on female friendship. It's called Conscience Point, it's just out in softcover from Unbridled Books, and it's being pitched as "Sex in the City meets Brideshead Revisited."

Hello Jessica, thanks for requesting my friendship. Your baby is so cute. May I ask how old she is? My son is now almost 21 months, he makes it hard to keep up with my shelfari... :) Anyway, I saw you like to read Nicholas Sparks, just wondering if you have read "The Lucky One" I didn't notice it on your shelf.

I am about to update my shelf, I just read The Reader and plan on seeing the movie with my husband. Now I am reading the Memory Keeper's Daughter for my mom's book club. Next month I think the group is actually going to read my book. Back to You, if you get a chance check it out. It is on my book shelf, Back to You. I was just published in Oct. It is my own personal story of my experience with childbirth and postpartum depression. Thanks again for the invite, Natalie

You go girl. I might have to try that one. Now all I need is to go out and buy that bike. LOL Good thinking. Walking around my neighborhood is like mountain climbing. My driveway is a workout. I've thought about getting walking sticks just to walk to my mailbox. Sounds like you have been busy too. I need to run out to the store and buy a new mouse for my computer. I can't believe that this one is dying. It' only over a yr. old. Poor little thing has ran it's course. Take care and have a great day!

I would enjoy hearing your story lady too. "Mary Poppins"
It's great that she loves books. My little granddaughter likes them too, but I have to watch her. She will rip them if you don't keep an eye out. That I don't like. I've had these books since my kids were little. My daughter-in-law is not much of a reader, so they don't mean much to her. Out of my three kids...I have one who is the reader. She's 15 yrs. old. She is also in my neighborhood book club.

Hello! Just stopping by to see how your doing? I just noticed that our playpen is filled with books. I like the picture of your daughter reading. Great idea! It's good to start them young. I did with all my kids. I would take them to library when they were young. They had their card and book bag ready to go. I loved reading with them. It's kind of crazy... but I still have my first library card since I was 7 or 8 yrs. old. I now read to my granddaughter who is 3. I pull out books that were her dad's. It takes me back in time. I would like to take her to storytime. I don't no if she would sit thru it. My girls looked forward to storytime. I think it's because the story-lady would read, then they would color or make a craft and then they would pick out books. How old is your little one? My grandson is 2 and he would rather be watching TV or eating a book. LOL Please keep in touch when you can.
    Have a great Sunday! Laura
