I'm a SAHM to 6. I've loved reading for as long as I can remember. My taste on reading is pretty much all over the place, the only thing I haven't been able to get into is Sci-Fi. I read every chance I get! I've even gone as far as to have a book in the car and read at stop lights.

    I realize that you were not presenting a challenge. The admin
    just want to prevent other members from getting the notion
    that separate threads like yours is a sanctioned activity. The
    original founder of the group apparently realized that separate
    threads like those would be too combersome in this type of
    group. That person wisely separated threads in the manner
    we have continued to follow. We hope you understand the
    reasoning behind our actions. We hope you continue to
    enjoy the time you spend exchanging book info with the
    other members, Jessica.

    Jessica, I am sorry to say I had to lock your August/September list thread.
    This group is not a challenge-type of group. Other members are also
    starting to introduce such threads. This group was not founded for that
    purpose, and it is too large to begin such a practice. I hope you under-
    stand.

    I see you're reading Winter Garden by Kristin Hannah. I recently read her book Firefly Lane and really enjoyed it. I've been thinking about reading another of her books, and that one looks pretty good. Let me know what you think about it when you're finished!

    Oh! I also noticed that you have a lot of books from Oprah's Book club list on your shelf. If you are interested someone just recently started a group on here (its called Oprah's Book Club) and you can find it on my page if you're interested in joining. So far we read Midwives in May, Vinegar hill in June, and we are currently voting on the book we will read in July...come by and check it out!

    We have lots of books in common! I totally understand about keeping the book with you in the car and reading at stop lights! My husband is a volunteer medic/firefighter so I never know when I may be sitting in the car on the side of the road when he gets a call! I have learned the lesson the hard way to always keep a book in my purse...that means I always have to carry a big purse but that's ok...at least I don't get frustrated when I'm stuck waiting for a long period of time!

    Wow I just noticed we have 48 books in common! I saw that you have some christian books on your shelf and I wanted to highly recommend "
    "Redeeming Love" by Francine Rivers!!! Amazing book! I also love the Newpointe 911 series & the restoration series by Terri Blackstock.
