Dear Flower Girl: I am an author from Massachusetts. My debut novel, HUNTING THE KING, was published in April after years of rejection slips. If you enjoy page turning thrillers, HUNTING will take you on quite a ride. ForeWord Magazine said, “Given such an auspicious start, the sequel can’t come soon enough.” The novel features Molly O’Dwyer. When Molly was five years old, she witnessed her mother die in a fire Molly believes she started. She never knew her father, so her own past is shrouded in mystery. After her mother’s death, she is raised on the campus of a Jesuit college in Boston. Now many years later, an archaeologist, she is recruited to participate in a dig in war torn Iraq. The passionate scientist in her is compelled to uncover whatever is buried under the sands of ancient Babylon. The observant Catholic in her is scared that what she finds may have profound consequences for her faith. There is a heart-pounding YouTube book trailer for HUNTING THE KING, which will give you a good sense of the pace and theme of the novel. I hope you’ll take a look and let me know what you think.Peter
Congratulations on your graduation! I know you will continue to work on building a strong foundation for your future in Grad School. Keep up the good work! I do hope you get to take a little down time for some recreational reading. And keep going to the gym. I should do that too but I spend my spring working in a garden center around flowers and plants. Stay well.
Hi there! It has been too long since I wrote to ANY of my friends and I want to apologize to you. One of my New Year's resolutions is to stay in touch better with everyone. How is school going for you?

Good morning! What a project! It sounds fascinating. A couple of years ago my youngest brother needed a kidney transplant and my sister was able to be the donor! And now both are in good health. My daughter is studying audiology and is in the second year of her four year program, and she is doing very well so far. My thanks for your prayers. I also pray for you, for your health and for strength to do the hard work you have chosen. May blessings come your way.Auntie
Hi,Yeah thank you...that is a great suggestion. I think it will be better to read the novel first before seeing the film. I know there will be many thing different in the movie then in the book.I already saw that in the Harry Potter movies....I hate when they do that.I will put the first novel high on my TBR list and hopefully I have the time somewhere next week.HugsNatasja
Hi there! Sorry I haven't checked in for a while. I don't believe I have had chance since last spring to drop a note to any of my friends. I had a long busy summer at the garden center where I work, and then I broke my arm and found it really hard to type with a cast on. But I did get lots of reading done! All is well now and we are having a gorgeous, warm late autumn day. I do believe we may get finished clearing the leaves from the lawn this afternoon. Tell me about your graduation project. What is it? How is it going? My daughter is in grad school and has so little time, I know you are busy too.Auntie
May,Thank you so much for your very kind words about my books. I'm thrilled by how well received Knight's Fork (my 2008 release) has been.Best wishes with your project!Rowena
Hi May,I'm fine, thank you for asking...I'll hope everything is okay with you too...And if I say so myself...I'm very proud of my bookshelves...They're growing and growing...LOL.You're reading Twilight series again....I still have to read the books. Everyone is telling me to hurry, because they are great. So maybe I will start with the first novel soon. But I'm waiting for the movie to come out...I want to see that one, that is for sure.Right now I'm reading Saint City Sinners by Lilith Saintcrow (fourth novel in her Dante Valentine Series) and I still need to read the last part of Acheron, so I'm quite busy...Talk to you soon!!Natasja
hi there, i'm good thanks and how are you?By the way so sorry for the late response, i left this website quite long time.so what are you reading???
Dear Flower Girl,Shelfari won't thank me for recommending a rival site, but do you belong to GoodReads.com ?If you join, you can "win" free books being offered by authors and publishershttp://www.goodreads.com/giveawayI'm giving away one ARC of Knight's Fork to "The rest of the World", also one to Australian readers, one to Canadians, one to Britons, and five to USA residents.I believe that LibraryThing.com also has a new book giveaway program. All the best,Rowena
Hello, Flower Girl,Thank you for your note. Out of curiosity, Why are my books hard to get? Do you live in a part of the world that doesn't stock many American novels?Mating Net is only available in two places, but the paperbacks seem to be all (both) in print, and can be ordered in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Europe, England, Canada...:-)Have a lovely week.Rowena
Hi, Flower Girl,I was looking back over my notes (I've been away from Shelfari for a while) and came over here to check that I'd replied, which I had. If you are still waiting for your exam results, I hope they are excellent! If you should happen to enjoy commenting and or participating in online discussions, there are a few going on at the moment (on the Raven nightclub, you could win an advance read of Knight's Fork, for instance) although that is $17 worth of photocopied paper, so I'm not sure why anyone would be interested!http://www.book-club-queen.com/forced-mate-by-rowena-cherry.htmlhttp://ravenhappyhour.com/ravenblog
