I saw you were interested in re-reading Dostoyevsky's _The Idiot_. We are opening a new discussion on this book if you would like to join us in a group read in the English Majors/Minors group. (You don't have to be an English Major/Minor to join; it is just for those people who are interested in books discussed in lit courses.)

hi, there's great book swapping happening at www.bookmooch.com. it has a forum here at shelfari, at http://www.shelfari.com/groups/23735/about.

bookmooch is a site that lets you give away the books you don't want anymore and get the books you Really Want to&from bookmooch members all over the world!

joining is free. you don't spend to get the books but you will have to pay postage to send internationally. with sea mail, you won't be damaged so much though (80/thin book, 150 up for heavier books).

    hope you join!

Right now, I'm really enjoying my station in life. Of course it could be better. It could always be better. All I would change is the number of hours in a day! (and the number of hours I could stay up without *any* sleep.)

I'm currently reading A.B. Facey's A FORTUNATE LIFE. This is an autobiographical account of a young Australian which begins at the turn of the 20th Century and continues through Gallipoli and the Great Depression. I've got BLUE MARS set up to read next. Thanks for your suggestion, Gigi. I may get to it one day. I'm so slow...
