Moon child, this is Deltasky and I must share this with you. A group pf our friends were talking one night. One man said he married his wife because she had nice legs another liked the olor of his nwife;s hair. My husband said, I married her because she makes me feel comfortable. we are now in our sixties our marriage has lasted and he would still rather spend time with me than anyone else. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I am happy with what he said because even though I am much older this has lasted. Deltasky.
I'm glad you joined,It is a learning group and we are trying to learn without those so called experts, trying to interfere.But we may ask them later for clarifications.It's not necessarily to join the faith but rather to understand.And we will be discussing other faith based books as well.

assalam alaykoam sister,In regards to your last note posted regarding the discussion "why women are turning to islam," I agree with you that just because you cover from head to toe does not put you above that of a woman who is less covered necessarily. In the end, only Allah (God) will judge between the differences we all dispute. But, in this case, from the beginning of time, it has been a commandment that women guard their chastity. I quite frankly do agree with you that it is not your intentions so to speak that you are showcasing yourself. One can cover from head to toe but be naked by means of their manners; yet, not cover up and their manners are higher than the that of the former. Like I said, Allah will be the judge in the end, and who knows best, you or Him?

Hello"child" I can't say I love his work but it just did not get my attention like the others.Also if you could buy the book "Themes on the Journey" (reflections in poetry edited by James Barry....you will find it very useful and can help you in writting your poetries in different techniques and styles. have fun
Hello "child" I like Frost because he's written a lot of good poems and most of them are simple to digest.My favourite are Shakespeare,DylanThomas,lord Byron and others I just like a few of their works.Emily Dickinson's poem maybe a bit hard for you to digest right now wait a few years and you will appreciate her writting style.also EE cummings style is very interesting they are almost kinetic. try and read the poem of Leigh Hunt titled "Abou Ben Adhem" it's one of my favourite poem. it's very inspiring and let me know what you think.
