My mind loves the biting analysis of level 5 reading, but my soul absolutely needs the reflection and understanding provided by level 10 reading.

    Yes to Middlesex, no to the Water Elephants book, but I think I'm probably too late on both.

    My mom introduced me to the book, she just started skimming it and she is getting into it. It's about the Kennewick man.
    Summary on the back of the book reads;
    "Award-winning archaeologists Michael and Kathleen Gear spin a vivid and captivating tale around one of the most controversial archaeological discoveries in the world: the Kennewick Man-a Caucasoid male mummy dating back more that 9,000 years, found in the Pacific Northwest on the banks of the Columbia River!
    A white man in North America more than 9,000 years ago?
    What is he doing there?"

    I'm not sure if I will like it or not but my mom wanted me to see if you have read it to see if it was interesting or not.

    Middlesex is facsinating! I loved it . . . then read Birds without Wings. Water for Elephants is not worth the time . . . it wasn't bad, but it wasn't all that noteworthy either. Just finished Empire Falls last night at 1:30--wow, what an ending!

    i know i don't have to change my rating and I know you were just kidding. but i thought about it and it is really a 3.5, I just can't show that. It was a really good book though. Don't worry, i did not change my rating because of what you had said. I changed it because I wanted to and because he wrote a good book that deserved at least a 3.5-4 rating.

    i only put three stars for OMS because Hemingway put way too much description into the story and that made it confusing for me. I mean i guess it could be a four. Let me think about that!
