The book is on my shelf. You can borrow it from me. This is one book I have also read in original Spanish. I must admit it took me a really long time doing that.

I havent read Love in .....Cholera but I imagine that it would be good. I have read 100 Years of solitude by Marquez and enjoyed that. He is quite fond of using magical realism but if that is not a style you enjoy, then it can be disorienting. Apparently Love in ...is loosely based on his parents courtship! I am thinking of reading it as well. I will let you know what I think.

I'd suggest try Neverwhere first by the same author. Oh and I think you'd enjoy The Historian by Elizabeth Kosova. I just finished it

I'm currently reading it. Around halfway through. Very long exceptionally so and I have a feeling it won't be your type. :). Do you like Sci Fi? Although this one tends to drag slightly and is meant more as a satire on american culture. Slight problem being the author doesnt explain much.

    Hi Mehro,

How are you sweetie? I havent really read too many books from Oprah's list but the one that I last read was Elie Wiesel's "Night". I thought it was a very good book that dealt with the holocaust. As you can imagine it is not light reading, but I would recommend it highly.
