I browsed through The Shack at a local bookstore and ended up reading about four pages and the ending chapter. VOOOM! Despite some awkward sentence structure and some obvious theological loopholes the work is creatively powerful. Far from 100% percent scriptural (no book is) I believe that is why it is classified as FICTION. Is it inspiring. Yes. Is it innovative? Yes. Is it heresy? That's debateable. For an equally inspiring but scriptural read I suggest you check out 'A Step Into Deliverance" by T. Pugh. It is a riveting autobiography about one pastor's journey into the deliverance ministry. A real page-turner!
