    The Big Book of Breasts

I bought this for my husband for Christmas and I ended up actually reading it.
    I love anything Taschen.

Completely overrated. I feel like its a book that everyone feels they are supposed to love. I don't know, I read it when i was 18, maybe I should have been younger.

Drove me completely nuts. Rather watch the movie, honestly.

    SUBTERRANEANS

    by Jack Kerouac

My favorite Kerouac. Mostly due to it's dealing with "romance" I read it at the perfect time and felt pretty connected to it at that point in my life.

Hilarious. Hilarious. An easy read, but I think it would be quite suitable for a plane trip down to Florida (where the story is set). I'm gonna re-read it on the way down to the Keys in September. Perfect way to waste time.

  • A Confederacy of Dunces

Another favorite peice of contemporary southern lit. New Orleans couldn't be any a better scene for a story to take place. Despite my desire to throttle the anti-hero Reilly, it was a very entertaining read.

Everybody will say the same. . . Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. Pathetic, romantic, humurous, slightly erotic and very sweet. My absolute favorite. Kubrick did an excellent adaptation, but the book could never be done justice on the screen.

  • Wild at Heart: The Story of Sailor and Lula
    • Rated 4 stars

An easy and very enjoyable read. I love every aspect of southern culture - the bizarre names, proverbs, and characters. Sailor and Lula are my favorite couple in all lowbrow lit (for lack of a better term). This happens to be my most favorite David Lynch movie as well, although slightly skewed in translation., however to the story's benefit.

I adore this book. She makes the repulsive romantic and normal abnormal. Amazing characters.

One of my favorites from grade school. I think I should re-read it every 10 years . . . It's been awhile.
