I almost always enjoy books that are fast paced but sometime slow reading excites me as well.
Happy reading to all Shelfari members :-)

I've read Kite Runner. Its a beautiful book! Eishu Kamu (my daughters) liked it too. So did my wife. I also saw the movie, which is quite well made, though it misses out on the power of the book. We just bought A Thousand Splendid Suns, but the kids are reading it, so I haven't got to it yet. You should read - "The Other Hand" by Chris Cleave. Awesome book !
Your shelf is pretty good, you are a serious reader ! And we have 26 common books :-) How is Wolf Hall? I think I should have checked your shelf before buying you a book ! I don't think economics is your thing !!! Which books would you recommend I read?
Thats a verry difficult question - as I have so many. Its like asking you to choose between friends ! But - I would say Catch 22 - Joseph Heller, Grapes of Wrath - John Steinbeck, A Fine Balance, English August would count amongst my all-time favourites. Check out my ratings and reviews for more.
