Hi! I'm not too good at keeping up with new messages ... but thanks for the Brennan Manning tape! (Now, to find a cassette player ...). Lately I've been sucked into Patterson's Max Ride books - never have i ever read such short chapters! His books are like candy - fun but fluffy. Well, must get back to reading - er, I mean working (heehee!)

Hey, Sandy - did you like Bloodsucking Fiends? I LOVE Moore's work - Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff is one of my most favorite books of all time. You've got quite a few books on your shelf, so maybe you've read some of his other stuff, but if not, I highly recommend Lamb and Coyote Blue and Practical Demonkeeping and, well, everything the guy has written.

You've heard Brennan Manning? Wow, where was this? I'm really enjoying his Ragamuffin Gospel; but it's quite deep, so I'm sampling it in doses ... which is why it's been on my "I'm Reading" shelf for so long.
Have you looked at Odd Thomas yet? I'd love to know what you think ... see you later!

Hi. I am enjoying reading your choices. Our discussion of Pride and Prejudice was lively and fun! Wish you could be with us.

I loved Juno. I saw it at Chirstmas when I was home visiting my family. Ellen Page was great in it. As for other movies, I'm a big fan of the 80s John Hughes movies, the X-Men series, and just about anything with Hugh Grant in it. Did you see The Waitress? That was good too. As for Shelfari, I'm addicted. I tell everyone about it - other librarians, friends, people in my book group and the teens that come into the library. It's great.

    Hi Sandy,
I could tell this was you just by the selection of books! Fun! I didn't have time to do much on my page and couldn't figure out how to put books into the Currently Reading shelf. How did you put hearts on your books?

Thanks for wanting to be my friend. Wow, Hawaii. I've yet to get there, one of these days maybe. One of our ex-pages just started school out there. I'm guessing University of Hawaii, but I don't know for sure. She loves to surf so it's a dream come true for her.

Hi! No, no - "Odd Thomas" wasn't scary; did you see my comment about it? It was really good. Runs a little like the movie "Sixth Sense" in that Thomas has this, well, sixth sense: he can sort tell when bad things are gonna happen (ie. people dying). It was suspenseful, but not scary. BUT the ending is REALLY sad!
