"A man without a favorite author is a lost soul. He remains an unimpregnated ovum, an unfertilized pistil. One’s favorite author…is pollen for his soul."

    Earl says

    “The First Fruits of Them That Slept”
    (1 Cor. 15:20)

    Past are the anguish and weight of His passion;
    Sealed in a sepulcher, Jesus doth lie,
    Guarded by soldiers in armor, whose fashion
    Only imperial Rome can supply.

    Just from the courts of Jehovah descended,
    Clothed in a raiment as white as the snow,
    Shining in face by lightning attended,
    Speeds there an angel as a dart from a bow.

    Reaching the garden as daylight is springing,
    Backward he rolleth the stone from the grave;
    Up cometh Jesus, in majesty bringing
    Proof reconfirmed of His power to save.

    Shaking with fear, to the ground fall the keepers;
    Quaketh the earth with mysterious thrills.
    Glory to God in the highest! Ye weepers,
    Shout in the chorus that heaven now fills.

    Earth could not bind the true Lord of creation;
    Vanquished is death by the Author of life;
    Quickly arise ye and tell every nation
    Jesus has won in the glorious strife.

    Past are the anguish and weight of His passion;
    Pleasures forever bide Him on high;
    Clothed is the Savior with garments in fashion
    Human resources could never supply.

    (Robert Rothman)

    Yours in our Risen Lord,

    Earl

    hi ron.....cold in mayberry today....38 degrees, burrrr....getting ready for church....purchased dinesh d'souza's "what's so great about christianity" yesterday, and my second sowell book, "the vision of the anointed" thought it appropiate with the Messissa president-elect! after church, jeanine and i attend a bible class. half hour. instructor is a rusty dodds, a doctor here in anderson. father of 6 boy's! class title is a conflict of visions. states, what instructions does the bible give us in regard to how a country should design it's civil government and economic system! we attented his first class last sunday. like you he is a good presenter. quotes from thomas sowell, adam smith, milton freidman, and i'm almost postive he's a ditto head. next best thing to being in one of your classes. he breaks down the difference betweem libralism and conservatiosm. liberals say the ends justifys the means. talks about indivdual, family, gavertnment, and civil govt. consertaves constrained, librrals un constrained. quots a lot from sowell's "conflict of vision" anyway is a great class we are really enjoying, so much so, jeanine wants to read all of sowell. have to use the library, there's so many! lol. i'll go to your sowell collection on shelfari, have J read your comments, save a lot of time. ha. welcome home, sad visit, but it was great to see paul i know, even under those circumstances. talk to you later, tell mom hi....love dad and jeanine
