"The best moments in reading are when you come across something — a thought, a feeling, a way of looking at things — that you'd thought special, particular to you. And here it is, set down by someone else, a person you've never met, maybe even someone long dead. And it's as if a hand has come out, and taken yours"

    Many thanks Raddy,
    I should read it ...
Have you read "The History of Rasselas: Prince of Abissinia" by Samuel Johnson. it is so nice.
Rasselas--regarded as Johnson's most creative work--presents the story of the journey of Rasselas and his companions in search of "the choice of life." Its charm lies not in its plot, but rather in its wise and humane look at man's constant search for happiness. The text is based on the second edition as Samuel Johnson revised it.

sure :) we're friends now. i enjoyed shelfari since i meet cool and interesting people here unlike in other social networking sites like friendster where they know nothing better but to pose in pictures haha.

i rarely read books since i am busy and oh, how much i miss reading the works of my favorite author, sidney sheldon. the last i've read is page sixty of the sands of time.

    until then :D

just finished looking at all your books. i miss reading sidney sheldon's novels and i'm still hooked with the master story teller so i told myself i need to read all his novels first before i select a new author whose works i would read.

i am curious with dean koontz. he's next ;D

I just thought of another series you might like. You should also try the Books of Magic. It was originally a 4 issue limited by Neil and 4 artist then it was an ongoing for 75 issues. Later the character, Tim Hunter came back in short lived series Names of Magic.

But Books of Magic was really a great series. I think you can get the first 50 issues in 7 trades as well as a trade for Neil's original mini.

Well Stardust is another great one to read. Also I highly suggest his Sandman series from Vertigo Comics(DC Comics). All 75 plus the one shot special are collected in a 10 volumes set. Each set is numbered so you know which order to read them in. They are collecting them in giant size hard covers which 3 of the 4 volumes are out but they are around $100 each. Even though they are worth it you can get them in paperback editions. Or if you like hardcovers and have a local comic shop around they may be able to get them in hardcovers if they still make them.

Sandman is more or less horror/fantasy and really is best read in trade format. Should check them out.
