I don't read as much as I used to or want to these days but i do have some favorites which I have placed on my shelf. I've reached the ripe old age of 62 and have as an option retirement. Yeah, I know I'd be a fool to retire right now but it is good to know the option is there. Besides, I never though I'd make it beyond the age of 30 back...more »

Indeed I still read, but I have a list of 896 books that I started keeping in the early 90s so I'd stop buying books I've already read ... and I don't wish to put all of them on my shelfari shelf. I can tell you that I just finished a somewhat lightweight book called The Friday Night Knitting Club and I'm currently reading Obama's Dreams of My Father.

Won't be writing that one, but am seriously considering writing one about life stories I recorded in Ghana last year. If I do - it will be up there.

Well I'll try. Novel Oblomov was written by Ivan Goncharov in 19 century. It has received the name after name of the main character. It is an ode of talented, but awfully lazy part of the Russian soul. Oblomov is a landowner who dreams of much, laying on an own sofa, but further of dreams things do not go. This masterpiece very precisely reflects character of the Russians. Name Oblomov became symbolical. Yes, I like the novel. But I do not know, whether it will be understood correctly by the foreign readers. I hope, Goncharov was translated in English.
Try to read and will send me your opinion about it. Good luck.

    Hello Alfred.
I am glad to hear that the books on quantum phisics on my shelf are interesed to you. Of course quantum physics can explain consciousness and many thing else. In fact the begining of my interest in quantum physics was due to the ability of this knowledge to scientifically explain many extraordinary phenomena.

    Hi Rick,
I've gone there a few times, although I'm not a coffee drinker. I don't know the owner. It is my son-in-law's favorite hangout, though.

I had a friend who lived on Waldron Island and envisioned a tall, thin, Catholic priest showing up and marrying her. At the same time, back east, a tall thin guy on his way to becoming a monk looked at a map and said - I want to move there - Waldron Island. They've been together over 20 years.

I don't know Teri - but, who knows what a drop in visit to the Black Drop Cafe might result in.
    :-) Barbara
