    I note that you have Huckleberry Finn on your shelf. I would be fascinated to know your perceptions of that book and of the period in American history portrayed therein. It happens to be my favorite novel of all time. I first read it when I was about 11 years old, and still bring it out to re-read every few years. That is the book that inspired me to become a writer.

    Yes, Freakonomics is a real paradigm-shifter. Another great eye opener is "Trust Us, We're Experts!", by Rampton and Stauber.
