MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR
Lee, thank you for the book, Same Kind of Different As Me. It was a great book!
Just dropping by to say hello, how are you doing and what book are you reading.
I know. It was a boring night at the Breadys last night. Doug was watching mindless tv, so I just sat by logging in book after book. I knew once I started I would be OC about it. But I've also about worn out my little book that I've always logged my books in.I'm reading the 2nd Anne Rice book about Jesus. Have you read that one?
Yes, I admit I've been negligent in keeping up with my shelf. Laughing here.
Hi Lee, just wishing you a Happy Easter Day.
Hi Lee,Yes, I really enjoyed "O Pioneers!". If I hadn't known, I wouldn't have guessed it was written 100 years ago -- the issues encountered and the characters' struggles are as valid today as they were in 1900. I have a few more of Cather's books waiting on my shelf, but at the moment I'm reading "The Book Thief" which is excellent so far. Also reading "The 101 Most Influential People Who Never Lived" which is very entertaining as well as educational (I never really considered the impact of "The Marlboro Man" on society). Definitely worth a look if you can get your hands on a copy.
Yes... we do have some books in common don't we? I have a few more of Maeve's books to read and I should have them covered. The retreat I spoke at was in Vancouver Canada last Sept actually. It was for an on line Christian women's group I belong to. My topic was based on Jeremiah 29:11 ( For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future). It was the first and only retreat I spoke at and it went pretty good.
Thanks for the invite Lee. I see you like Maeve Binchy too. I'm on a Maeve Binchy marathon right now. Another trip to the library is in order. lol
Just finished "The Alchemist". Would recommend it to you. I loved it. It was a quick ready, but really struck a chord.
Lee, I just bought the Appeal. How is it? I am reading The Awakening by L.A. Banks.
Hi Lee, how are you doing and what book are you reading.
So, you're currently reading FIVE books at one time ? WOW.
Happy Valentine's Day to you from Florida!
Hi Lee, just wishing you a happy Valentine Day.
Hi Lee,Yes, and it looks like we have some others in common, too. I've read some of John Grisham's too. I have others to add, but will have to get back to it in a couple of weeks. Good to hear from you.Cindy
Hey!ok. so I add some to my bookshelf. I own most, and have read ever so many more than this. I can see I need to visit your library!melissa
Thanks for starting this!
