Part novelist, part programmer, part artist; I've written a few terrible practice books that are now tucked away in storage, and I'm currently working on a project I hope to get published. It's a gritty, dystopian fantasy in a sunless, icy world that includes scheming politicians, saber-tooth tigers, gangsters, mercenaries, cannibalism, breathtaking sculpture, a lacking king, and a chaotic fend-for-yourself city. I have high hopes for the project once I rewrite it a few more times.
Mostly I tend to read fantasy, but books of every genre have at some point found their way into my library. My favorite authors at present are George R. R. Martin and Neil Gaiman, though I also highly recommend 'Bridge of Birds' by Barry Hughart and a graphic novel called 'Midnight Nation'.
I want to be able to have a list of all the books I've read. I don't think I'll manage it: something will always slip away from me, but I'm going to try. That said, I'm determined to put down some of the books I liked say, ten years ago that I'm embarrassed about now. Consider this somewhere between 50 and 75% complete, and we'll assume that's about right.
Anyway. Have a look around. I don't bite, I promise. :)
