Well the Riftwar series has three books, it goes: Magician, Silverthorn, and Darkness at Sethanon. I recommended Magician because i thought it was a good book just on its own, but if you like the book then there's nothing stopping you from reading the whole series! Hm..I've always known the Magician book as just 'Magician'. Maybe you have a different addition, or maybe it comes out in sections? I'm not sure, but it sounds like you have the right book! I hope you enjoy the two, they're really good books!

I'm sure I'll like them, thanks! I do have a lot of fantasy books on my shelf, but I do like reading other stuff too! I still haven't put some of the books I've read on my shelf yet, I always forget. I tried reading the first book of Harry Potter once, and it was just too easy and predictable. I like to read a book where everyone you meet has a dark side, because that's what it's like in real life. I guess I've just never taken to it like others have! At least I tried though, I won't pass up the chance to read something new. If I were to recommend a fantasy book to you...I would recommend Raymond E Feist's 'Magician'. That's what got me hooked, it may be a little childish in parts, but everyone enjoys reading childish things no matter the age! It's a hard book not to like! I'd be glad to know what you think of the Tao Te Ching, don't worry about holding back negative feedback either!

I wouldn't worry about the amount of books I've read, I've only read that much because I've done nothing else but read! Ooh..now that's a hard question to answer. Others might put it differently, but this is how I see it: It's a philosophy based on acceptance, enlightenment, and wholeness. It's something that has been translated many times, some translations might not click with you, and some might! It's not for everyone though, and everyone takes the meaning in the book differently and with different degrees of emotion. But it would be good if everyone gave it a try! It could change your way of thinking, or it could do nothing at all except bore you, it's entirely up to you! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do though. Best thing to do while reading it is to open yourself up to all sorts of ideas, an open mind helps a great deal with anything. Is there anything you would recommend for me?

Good: and in that case, how may I be of help? Are you going to France for business --from the books on your shelves I'd say business rather than holidays, am I right?

I had lessons of error analysys boundled into numeric mathematics on my first studies but I haven't read any practical books on those subjects -- still planning to do so when I get some spare time (maybe on summer holidays? I hope so). But I'm quite interested with those subjects and their usage in my work field (software).

What can you say about 'Marketing Metrics' from your shelf? (The title inspired me a little) Is it more practical or more academic type of book?
