Oh man, Sweet Valley High...those are bringing me back! I think I still have 1-110 or something at my dad's place. Good times! I can't even remember the storylines, but I do remember some of the covers/titles. "Playing with Fire" was probably my fave.

How's the writing coming along? I'm working with a mentor on one of my picture books. She has some really good suggestions on how to fix parts of it, which is great. I think I'll be sending it off to publishers after the mentorship's done. [fingers crossed]

Sounds good I was going to put it on hold at the library but I have 3 or 4 books from the library and they are all due soon and I have one on hold so I am going to wait but our libraries do have a copy of the book so I know if I want to read it all I have to do is put it on hold. We just had a new branch open and it is in walking distance of our appartment. Thanks for letting me know about her and it sounds like you need to have a box of tissues near by. I think it is neat when a book can tug at our heart strings. I also need to be closer to God than I am. Just looking for a good chirstian church to attend.

Thanks, Kristen! I'm reading "Bobbie Faye's (kinda, sort, not exactly) Family Jewels" by Toni McGee Causey. I read her first Bobbie Faye book and thought it was hilarioulsy entertaining. So you read two books at once? I just can't do that. It's too confusing for me. :) After I read this, I'm planning on reading either "Barefoot" by Elin Hilderbrand or "The Girl Who Stopped Swimming" by Joshilyn Jackson. I've read Jackson's other 2 books and enjoyed those a lot. I need to stay off the computer more so I'll read more. LOL!

Hi Kristen. I just wanted you to know that if you have sent me a private message through Shelfari in the last month or so, I was not able to receive it. When I first joined Shelfari, I didn't have any problem with receiving e-mails through them, whether it was private messages from friends, friend requests, updates, or whatever. The last 6 weeks, I have not been receiving anything through Shelfari. I sent an e-mail to them a few weeks ago explaining the problem. They gave me suggestions to make a long story not too much longer, it didn't work. I have opened a second e-mail account today through yahoo to be my primary e-mail account for Shelfari. Hopefully, this one will work. Just wanted to let you know agian that I wasn't ignoring you if you sent a private message, I just didn't receive it.
By the way, what are you reading now?

Sounds like you are really applying yourself to the editing process. Sometimes it can be helpful to look at the story as a movie- and judge which 'scenes' may be able to be cut, but ultimately, keep with what works for you.

So glad you like Allison Brennan. She is a good author. I just finished reading Marliss Melton's SEAL sries, not too good. Danger, thrills and adventure in the first chapter or so, then it slides into "regular" template romance...
