I just read a synopsis for your book this month and it seems a little depressing. You did like it, though? I recently finished "The Next Thing on My List" by Jill Smolinski and really liked it. So I have another book by her from the library, "Flip Flops", but I haven't started it yet.

I am so sorry I never answered your question about "Oh My Stars" which you were supposed to read for your book club! So -- did you like it?? I love every one of Lorna Landvik's books, so I am curious to see what you thought......

    Hi Kristen,

I see you've been reading Stuart Woods. Man, I think I've read them all except for his vdery latest. The Stone Brrington series is many and quite varied. I like when Woods combines characters form a few series in one novel. He has Stone hook up with Holly Barker form the Orchid series. He also has Will Lee in a few of his books with Stone Barrington.

But best of all I like his books that cover old Hollywood, back in the dys of black and white film and WWII. Have you read any of those?

    Nice talking to you.

Kristen, I'm sorry! I just saw your question posted to my private email (I use a separate account and don't check it often because there's hardly ever anything there except spam!) So, how was the book club? I'd have told you that O My Stars is great for 2/3 and okay for the final third, just because there's a big shift in the story line and the end feels grafted on. Did you read/like it?

Both are debut authors. Sophie wrote A Bad Day for Sorry. Her female lead takes down the bad guys.

Annamaria wrote a mystery set in Peru.

Kristen, I'm so sorry I'm just now getting back to you about your question about "Savannah Breeze." To be honest, I can't remember if I read "Savannah Breeze" or "Savannah Blues." I think I might have put the wrong book on my shelf because I think it was "Blues." Either way, I remember nothing about the book. Mary Kay Andrews is a very popular writer though. You may want to click on the book and check to see what some other readers say about the book...people who actually remember what they read. LOL!

An update...Your subscription to group notifications should "stick" now. We fixed the issue with the pop-up that was making it difficult to post in your groups (you may need to resubscribe if you had clicked "cancel" in the pop-up). Let me know if you have any questions!

Hi Kristen - Thanks for letting me know! Are those the only groups you have this issue with? Were you originally subscribing to all content in those groups or just specific discussion threads? When you reply to posts in these groups do you have to click "yes" to resubscribe before you can post? I'm going to let our team know so they can investigate. ~Amanda

Hi - I accidently deleted your question about The Quiche of Death and sorry it took me so long to reply - haven't been on here for awhile. YES you should try it!! This is one of my favorite series. However, my mom didn't like it at all. I listen to a lot of books on tape/CD and that makes a big difference sometimes. The reader of this series is British as the series is set in England and I really like her voice. The main character is not real likeable at first but once you get to know her you end up liking her (kind of like some characters on sitcoms if you know what I mean). Anyway, let me know if you read it what you think. This author also has another series which I love as well. It is set in Scotland and is about a police constable named Hamesh Macbeth. Good to hear from you.
