There's A New Day ComingWhen the Sun announces the dawning day,Just flex your muscles and start on your way.Go over, or under, around, or throughAny obstacles or hurdles that challenge you. There's a new day coming.Cast aside the failures of yesterday.Forget the peaks and valleys that have paved your way.Wipe the sweat from your browAnd the dust from your shoe.Take a breath and relax so that you may begin anew. There's a new day coming.Forget the burdens and obstaclesThat have held you back.Focus on your dreams and prepare a plan of attack. There are battles awaiting to challenge your success,Daring you to stand tall and to give it your best. There's a new day coming. No matter how great the journey, or how heavy the load,How steep the mountain, or how rough the road,When your arms grow weary and legs give way,Stop and rest for a moment; it will be okay. There's a new day coming. As shadows spring forth from the setting Sun,Take a moment and savor the battles you've won.Sleep peacefully tonight and enjoy your rest.Awaken tomorrow and continue your quest. There's always, a new day coming.~ Michael Wynn
Anne--I agree. From the last couple weeks alone, I have received suggestions from people and noticed books that I never would have considered reading.
Wow, you're not kidding that you took some of my recommendation. I hope I don't bomb out . . . Musical Chairs is by a person I recently "met" through this site, and I indicated I would read the book. I only tell you that because I haven't actually read it yet. The other ones that I see on your page I did read. Dave
Great. E-mail me your e-mail address (my address is mail@christophertusa.com), and I'll e-mail you the e-book version of the book. Thanks,Chris
Hi, Anne. I agree that one can never have too many friends, and I am glad to meet a baseball-lover. The Angell books are great, and there are some other good ones that I'd be happy to discuss at some point. I will look through your shelf a little more carefully when I get a chance--lots of books! If your do read my new novel, I obviously hope you enjoy it. If you want a signed copy let me know. Otherwise, if you decide to read it, I certainly won't quibble with where you get it from!Dave
Howdie--You are listed as a member most like me. My apologies!. I see you've read them. I have been reading Joyce Carol Oates recently and am now reading Expensive People. Have a great day.
Hello Anne-I had not been on in while! I couldn't remember the password and user name. Sad huh! I hope you are well!-Jana
Hi Anne!I hope all is well. Peggy said your husband wouldn't be coming in anymore! This rainy day is a great one to sip coffee and enjoy a book!
Are you there God it's me Margret.... Oh I remeber that book well..... I need to re-read it!!!
oh Btw I still have a lot of those books from my shelf that you added to your list. If you want to borrow any let me know.
Hi!I'm reading books from this reading list I got from high school when I was a freshman. It has so many books I would never think to read! I've been working on this list little by little and I've almost finished the B's. I wonder how long it will take me to get to the M's?Claudia :)
Thats Great! Thanks for telling me about this! I feel as though my shelf is empty though I better get to reading!Stay dry today.
Miss Anne,I think I found you? I hope to see you on Monday with the other Adaline's =)-Jana
Thank you and I feel the same about shelfari... I love it. I believe reading improves your vocabulary, speed and enlightens your imagination!!!
Thank you so much for the compliment's; I have read 1984 and I am re-reading it now. There is so much information in the book that has been happening all over the world.
I looked at your shelf, and we have quite a few books in common. I look forward to sharing thoughts, titles, with ya! Have a good weekend!
Hello Anne. I see you have A Mercy on your shelf. I got a copy today and plan to start reading it soon. Have you started reading it yet? BTW, nice shelf you have. We have very similar tastes in books.
Hi Anne S. Love this sight, thank you!
Miss your face Ann. I am also recovering w/health issues. A broken ankle, healing very well, and now bursitis, but that too will fade away, soon I hope.I read as much as I can; can't be without a book - I love the Jan Karon books, Maeve Binchy, Anita Shreve, Jodi Picoult and many others. I will try to share more later when, as Cynthia sez, I figure out how this works. SJ
Absolutely - once I figure out how this thing works. So far I've done nothing but register - no profile, etc. yet. Am just now getting more active after hip surgery (both), so look forward to some social contact I've been missing out on. We miss you down at yer ol' stompin' grounds. C
