What's up, Soul Sistah??? Sorry it took a minute for me to get back to you. I have been in Ft. Lauderdale for over a week and had limited access to the internet. But now that I am back in town, I am back at work...my schedule is flexible. I will give you and Mike a call before the week is out!
Welcome to Shelfari Ms. Sonsyrea

We read a little at Black Feminist Womainst so you might want to join the group! The Library Thing is also another group like shelfari...Authors Unbound is a page for authors and having a blog or official site is welcome also... posting a picture and other personal information that most authors tell is welcome also...
You have a review at African American Literature book club... The Sankoa Literary Society is at shelfari and has other services as well as APOOO Connections...I would even look at the other sites suggested... good luck, I might read it!
There is a Black authors network know as Sankofa Literary Society, APOOO or A Place of Our Own, check these out to promote your book... This is some hateful email when you can post another message and ignore it... Ask people in different groups if they would like to read your books with them, maybe not soo much negativity!

Sonsyrea,Not nonsense at all. Maybe you have been bombarded with the invites and notices. I am not oppose to promoting your work at all. In fact, I have done quite bit over the years to promote and support emerging writers. Ask me about it sometime. I object to the drop and run approach. That's my objection. And I also pointed out that Shelfari has set up quite a few effective and positive ways to promote your work. If you were more involved here, you might be aware of these campaigns to promote new authors. Peace. ~zawadi
