Pompeii Lost and Found is written by Mary Pope Osborne. This book tells about a small Romen town called Pompeii. I think the most interesting part is when the Scientists that are digging up Pompeii found places where people had been buried by ashes. the bodies decade but the places where the bodies were was still there. So they filled in those places with plaster and made statues of the people who died in Pompeii. This book also tells about paintings, tools, and other artifacts. What happened to the people of Pompeii is very sad. Today they have uncovered 1/3 of Pompeii. Mary Pope Osborne also writes the Magic Tree House seiries.

The book Pompeii Lost and Found, is a book about when Mount Vesuvius erupted and buried the whole town in volcanic ash. It also tells you what archeologists have found while digging in the ash. Some things that they have found, are pots, loaves of bread still in the oven, and skeletons of people and animals. Read Pompeii Lost and Found to see the other interesting things they uncovered. This has to be one of my favorite review books that I have read so far. It gives great discription and vivid illistrations. I learned a lot about Pompeii before and after Mount Vesuvius.
