I suppose I could tell you I'm an avid reader, but why waste your time? THAT should be obvious. If I didn't read much, or didn't like to, why would I be here?

Truth is, I've always been a book junkie. I've bought, read, and given away thousands of books after various relocations and mood changes have caused me to thin my personal... more »

My final take on Zero? I loved it! And I can't wait for the sequel to come out. I wish there were more books out there like it. I loved the relationship between D and Jack. And i liked that there was a lot of action in it besides just focusing on the relationship. It was an AWESOME read.

I love the BDB series for the same reasons you stated. BTW, was I the only one who wanted to see Butch with V?

Though I did like Butch with Marissa I could not stand Jane. And not just because she turns into a ghost. I didn't even like her when she was human. Couldn't stand her character at all.

Thanks, I was actually amazed how many books from different genres we have in common and our similar ratings for them. I'll definitely watch your shelf...

Thanks for the recommendations! Looks like the next m/m book I'll be buying is The Ghost Wore Yellow Socks. I was already thinking of getting that one but wasn't quite sure if it was nothing but porn or something like that.

The reviews on Amazon can sometimes be misleading... It's times like those that I wish I did have a Kindle cause the prices are way better. So even if the story was crap I would have only spent like $4 for it vs. around $20 in book form.

And I'll make sure to look into the other titles you mentioned as well.

Since you said you don't know what yaoi is here's a short meaning of it:

Yaoi is basically a Japanese comic book or novel that deals with an m/m relationship. It's aimed at straight female reader. So one guy in the pairing is always given female traits/characteristics so that the female reader can have someone to relate to. And if you replaced "he" with "she" while reading it would still be the same story.

So I guess that would make me the target audience but I'm really not into that. If I want to read m/f I will. I don't want to read m/f disguised as m/m though.

Some American writers of m/m have a tendency to do this too. Last year I accidentally bought a whole trilogy of books like that. I was so mad. What with all the money I waisted on it and it was too late to return them.

BTW, I should be done with Zero at the Bone by tomorrow. I'll let you know if I still like it by the end.

And I also got into paranormal romance this past year too. Fell in love with the Black Dagger Brotherhood books. :)

Hi, thanks for accepting my friend request.

I found your profile after looking up to see who's read Zero At the Bone (reading it now and I really like it). Doesn't look like a lot of people on here read m/m books.

I'm kind of picky when it comes to buying books like that. For one thing I hate it when the book has one guy in the male role and the other basically acting like a woman... I like it when the guys have more of an equal relationship both in and out of the bedroom. Not where one of them is being made all effeminate.

If I'm reading about two men I want them to act like men. And not where one of them might as well be a girl. Basically, I can't stand yaoi.

Also can't stand it when the story gets lost because the characters are doing nothing but having sex in every chapter. I have nothing against sex scenes as long as there's a reason for them.

So if you have any recs I'd love to hear them!

And you're also into paranormal romances. So yeah, had to add you.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I'm pregnant and have been rally sick with this one.

My fav author is Laurell K Hamilton. I love her Anita Blake series. She has alot of non traditional drool-worthy pairing. Have you read any of hers?

If you like BDB you should try a new series that just came out by Pamela Palmer. It is the Feral Warriors series and it's really good. It's about shapeshifters.

Thanks for accepting my friend request. I really look forward to reading more of your reviews.

I was hoping for so much more from this one and was so disappointed. I think she may have just rushed the book a bit. This is her first series and they've been wonderful so far. I definitely look forward to the next one.
