Jason, I look forward to your recommendations. Most people don't have my oddball sensibilities or like to read the academic books I have to read. Tim, Lloyd and I became friends in high school over Vonnegut, Brautigan and Bukowski. I had no chance to have a normal life.
I've got 65 books on my plan to read list and always looking for more. I've read Blood Meridian. That one took me a while to get through. I enjoyed the hell out of it but the writing was rather thick. I had to read slower than normal (which is pretty slow) and had to reread some parts. One day I'll sit down and read it again to see what I missed. I've not read Lovely Bones. I'll have to check it out.
Before I add "Coming of Age in the Milky Way" to my ever expanding list, I enjoyed what I could finish (never quite got all the way thru) of "The Elegant Universe". Is this the same type of deal or will I be able to make my way thru it?
