Just being a member of this site is clue enough that I love to read, but I am always looking for new authors to try, and no subject is taboo. Shoot, sometimes just to scratch the itch I'll read the back of a cereal box. Not much plot-wise, but passes the time. My goal this year is to read 100 books...but with 2 young ones I'm not sure how close... more »

I liked the Force Heretic Books too. The second Thrawn series was my favorite Spectre of the Past and Vision of the Future. Right now I'm reading a book called The Intelligencer it's part Elizabethan part modern day spy/historical fiction novel. It's really good.

Hey! John: Bruno-uno here. I recommend three authors: Stephen J. Cannell, Jonathan Kellerman, Lorenzo Carcaterra. They write about the tough streets of Los Angeles. One of my favorite books is George Raft by Lewis Yablonsky. It is probably out-of-print. George Raft was our kind of guy, professional boxer, dancer and actor. All of us kids tried to look like George Raft. I wanted "patent leather' hair just like his. Half a jar of vasoline later I looked in the mirror. Hey Man! It didn't work with young guys with blonde hair. YOU DIG!!!

You're welcome! Good luck with your reading goal; 100 books is quite lofty even for those who do not have children. =)

What's the Thrawn series? I may have read it and it's on my shelf but that name is not ringing any bells! :)
