I have been a committed reader since I picked up my first Trixie Belden mystery in second grade. For many years, I read authors in their totality. So, although I may only list one or two Agatha Christie mysteries on my shelf, I have read them all (favorite: The Moving Finger). Likewise Charles Dickens (favorite: Bleak House; least favorite: Great Expectations). All German (and some French) titles I have read in the original language. I have a BA in history from the University of Utah; an MA in German and Slavic Languages from Brigham Young University; and a Ph.D. in Languages and Literature from the University of Utah. What am I doing with all that education? -- looking for a job :-) I am 54, married, with five adult children. Now, after so many years reading German and Polish poetry and autobiography, I am looking to branch out. All suggestions welcome! « less
