I can't remember a time in my life where I didn't love to read. I was that nerdy kid with the flashlight under the covers reading into the wee hours of the night. I could live all kinds of exciting, and sometimes sad, adventures through the pages. My books were prized possessions -- I had a 7-shelf bookshelf in addition to the 2 or 3 boxes of books under my bed. Books were, and continue to be, a little obsession of mine.
As I've grown up, I've dived into some non-fiction lit, which wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I'm all about books that push you to learn something new, that challenge pre-conceived notions and beliefs... anything that keeps the brain moving.
I don't get to read as much as I used to, but I'm teaching myself to make time for that simple pleasure.
