This is a bit late of a response, Aisha, so I hope you started reading without my answer! Yes, that is most definitely fine, if you do Italy first!
Hey Aisha! I saw your name is still in the running in terms of points - good for you! Do you have a preference as far as country for this one? I prefer Ireland, but I have books for either, so let me know what you want to do!I HATED my Scotland book, so combining that with the fact I had to pack to leave and not be near Internet, I gave up on that round. Stinks, too, because I thought that book would be an easy fun read, and it was just horrible. :-(
That is awesome!! Book publishing is so rare here. And an opportunity to work for the bigger companies is golden. Truly wish you the best of luck hun. =D.
Oooh! Allah yowafgich on your studies hun! As much as I wanted to meet you at the festival, I'm so excited for you! Where will you be studying? What did you decide to master in?
Hey Aisha! I see you're reading Alexander McCall Smith's book (it's another series right?). I already have 2 of his Ladies' No.1 Detective Agency, and I can't wait to read it. Did you know he's coming to next year's literary festival? Please tell me you're planning to come next year!
LOL!! Let's hope... :-)I read My Life in France by Julia Child - it was excellent! I'm just about to post my review on the PBT page...
Sounds like a great plan. :-) Since it starts at 4pm tomorrow, I hope to be able to just sit down right then and start reading, and maybe read right through. That would be great. :-)
Hey Aisha!Good job posting your book! I am almost done with mine, and hoping to finish it over my lunch hour today...for the next leg:I am going to be without Internet access Saturday-Monday, which means I won't be able to help us actually WIN this round. In the rules it says we are allowed to have one member of the team read both books in a leg if we want. So, if you want to do that (read both the Scotland and the America) it's fine with me. If you don't, I am happy to read the Scotland book - just be forewarned that depending on when the leg starts I will definitely not be posting in time to win. Let me know what you want to do!
btw did u like dreaming water ?
LOL i tend to do that alot XP see now its better than breaking dawn i gave he latter 2 stars
LOL i actually wanned to give it a 2.5 so i was like wat the heck i'll round it to three XD
I'm so glad that works out well for you! I just posted my review about 30 minutes ago...Atonement is almost 500 pages long! Phew! I had church this morning, as well, so I've been reading this afternoon to get it done. I really liked it...I want to watch the movie again now, because I think I will like the movie even more now that I have read the book.
Hi Aisha! I saw you have about 100 pages left in your book - good for you! I'm more than halfway through, and not done reading for the night.I hate to ask you this, since you have already read a book from Asia, but would you be able to take Japan for this next leg? I put a book on hold for Japan that I thought would be in by now, but it isn't. I have the France book, just not Japan. What do you think? If you're not able to do that I can try to find a Japan book...
Good grief! I'm reading away, but I'm certainly not close to done! I thought some groups might take this ridiculously serioiusly. :-)How's your reading going?
Atonement by Ian McEwan. I've seen the movie and am intrigued by the book. We'll see how quickly I can get through it!
According to the rules as they're being described you can only earn one point per category, so only one China book will count. You are welcome to China, however - I have an England book I especially want to read, so that works for me!
Hi Aisha,So, do you have a preference for how we split this up? I am going to try to participate in the individual competition as well, so it doesn't matter to me how we do it. I have chosen books that fit each of the categories, so whichever you don't prefer I will do! For the first leg, would you like China or England? Or did you want to split it up differently than that?
LOL. XDYeah, it's the writing style that turned me off. And I heard complaints about her later books in the series, so I was like, you know what, not worth it if the series is going to suck down the road.
Yes!! Jason is an eye-candy in the show! Now, if only he wasn't a man-whore. XD I read mixed reviews about the P.C Cast series. I think I read some of the first chapter on Amazon, and I didn't like it. =\
Ha ha, the only reason I even considered reading the books was because the show was too weird for me. I got really uncomfortable with it, lol. But yeah, I heard of how much the show deviated from the books. Why can't they follow it? My friend also told me that Sookie is an annoying pushover, when in the book she practically stands up to Bill. There's also Vampire Diaries coming next fall, and I want to read it before the series is aired!
