Cooyah Y

I was voted most voracious reader in grade 6 and the title has been true ever since. Once I learned to read there was no stopping me, it is by far my favourite activity {next to eating :) of course }

thank to my fellow NP members for letting us know about the manna that is Shelfari

    Anthony Winkler has a great collection of stories, i've read all of them. His last one Dog War was hilarious. But I think his best and my favorite is The Painted Canoe. Coelho is just knocking the books out, I saw his new one Brida while browsing in B&N. I believe you when it comes to being read out, but im still going to pack up a couple of books when and if i go on vacation.

    I will get that book list to you. I know, even on amazon, I have to check amazon UK listing to find some good ones. What do you do, speed reading! Which jamaican author you had on your wish list, share, it might be someone for me to add to my list.

    I was walking on 86th Street in NY today and passed a book vendor selling best sellers at crazy low prices and I almost picked up Pillars of the Earth, but didnt' but choose instead to pick up James Patterson new book Sail and Andrew Gross new book The Dark Tide, got two books for the price of one. They are like my junk food for the moment. When I learn to read as fast as you, I will be able to indulge more. Cant believe you finished The Air Between Us Already!

    I just finished Angel by Merle Collins, a novel out of Grenada, I realized the Grenadian dialect is just like the Trini. I also just finished Kingston By Starlight by Christopher John Farley, a story about Anne Bonn, the infamous female pirate, didn't enjoy it as much as I thought. I am going to start Buxton Spice by Oonya Kempadoo. I hope to run through as much as the caribbean authors this summer.

    I am going to put The Space Between us on my TBR list, it sounds like a topic that interest me. I love Paul Cuelho's writing, it transcends.

    I have not read the second installment of the traveling pants, but I definitely will I did not know the movie was coming out this summer. Our bookclub read the Known World and I dont think the book went over too well. Different strokes for different folks- it may be a winner for you. I do want to read aunt hagars children though . Thank you for accepting my friendship request!

    Peace Cooyah,

    I finally finished My Sister's Keeper and it had a very surprising and sad ending to the book! I am still trying to absorb some of the concepts from the novel. Thank you for letting me know about "Eleven Minutes." I think that I may have to add that to my growing reading list.

    Bless,

    Hey Cooyah,
    The family dynamic in My Sister's Keper is so fascinating and sad at the same time. I can't wait until I am finished with the book, it seems to move fairly quickly. Have you read any other books by Jodi Picoult?

    I hope that you have a blessed and beautiful week!

    Peace,
    Lioness
