The Black Jackal

The Black Jackal

This is why Wuthering Heights is the greatest romance novel ever:

"You teach me now how cruel you've been - cruel and false. WHY did you despise me? WHY did you betray your own heart, Cathy? I have not one word of comfort - you deserve this. You have killed yourself. Yes, you may kiss me, and cry; and wring out my kisses and tears....more »

    Hi,

WOW! I like your shelf! Specially because of all the Manga's. As a newbie in Manga-land I still have to find out which are the best books. Can I please use your shelf for some ideas?
About [i[The other Boleyn girl I liked the book for 2/3. The begin and the end are good, but after a while I really had enough of all the intrigues. I liked the movie a lot more (hmmm... that's a strange thing to say for a booklover...^_^). You might want to give it a go. It's not a hard read. The book actually reads very quick.

Keep on reading & would appreciate it if you want to be my friend.
    Greetings, Monique

And finals have been smacked down! ...well, it's smacked me down, but whatever, it's over now.

Hey, you're reading 20th Century Ghosts? What do you think so far?

And, was Shade's Children good? I've seen it before, but I wasn't too sure.

Hey Sparrow, I saw you asked about Beauty: A Retelling. This book has a few Disneyesque elements, but no dancing dishes. Haha. I really loved this version; it's a step above Disney maturity-wise, but a step below Robin McKinely's other version of Beauty and the Beast. It's definitely worth reading!

Any book about dragons is worth at least a peek, eh?

Well, geez, now I just want to read it! *whines* I want to see the awesomeness!

Yech, I know. There are many a book ruined because the teacher's viewpoint killed EVERYTHING fun. If I am remembering correctly, there's plenty to be feminizing about in that play, too. You have my condolences. *pats shoulder*

You don't have it anymore? What happened? Did it suck that bad?

When it comes to you, I'm fairly sure there are a number of things you own which I would love to steal, er, take, um, appropriate, *sighs* I mean, borrow...yeah, that's what I mean. Is Series of Unfortunate Events good? And what was wrong with the Tempest? That's the one with Caliban and island, or am I getting things confused?

    You'll be here tomorrow! Whee!

Yay! You'll be here Thursday! But then, you have to go back up for two more weeks? Ah, whatever. You'll be here Thursday! Woot.

Oh man, I'm with you. Sometimes there are moments of awesome brilliance. Other times...-_-;; well, you understand.

Oh, and did you know? Eoin Colfer has a new book out. Thought you might be interested.

Thursday? Thursday?! As in, two days from now?

Yeah, but nothing comes close to the torture fellow students put us through (*points emphatically at icon*)

Hee, that's true. I'll make sure to borrow it the next time you come down. When will that be again?

Well, we all have our little plans. Or maybe I'm just trying to figure out which method my teachers will think of using next, huh? [.[
