Hi Lynda, I don't but now I do....given 4 books away and have 3 pending. Very cool concept.

San Diego...some girlfriends from high school live in the Mission Bay district.

How do you like Nor Cal. I love it myself. The redwoods are awesome. Napa Valley is pretty sheshe now. But I ran the Napa Valley Marathon and SF Marathons. Two beautiful ones to run.

Thanks for the heads up about the Bookmooch and the free rice. I did fairly well with the vocabulary words. I will return to that site. :)

I actually have 3 of Jodi Picoult books patiently waiting in line. I have read Anita Shreve and Anita Diamant. One of my fave's is Anne Tyler.

I was born in southern california. but my parents divorced and mom needed to leave the party scene. so we moved to sonoma when i was six. and i stayed in northern california until i was 37 and moved to the south. but i have lived in central valley for a time. i worked for the state..so moving around was something to do. breaks up the routine.

my best friends parents live outside of redding. they have 10 acres. yes, i saw best friends. i was best friends with the older daughter in high school and when she left for college. her sister and i became, better friends. we still call each other once a quarter and talk for a good hour or two to catch up.

i will have to check the vocabulary game. i am on facebook and love to play scramble and word twister and there is one more that i just started playing the word drop down from above.

I wanted to welcome you to the CAGROWN READERS group. This is a group very close to my heart. Some say they left their heart in San Francisco. I left a good deal back in California when my husband promoted and moved to the south.
It thrills me to member in the group. Love to hear from you..what books you are reading, recommendations and books that aren't worth are time would be awesome.

P.S. Garden Spells, The Time Traveler's Wife and a few others too...we might need to become friends. I'll take a looksie at your bookshelf.

I liked it, but there are a few chapters that I felt were filled with useless details. Sometimes there's too much detail about the industrial state of China at the time the story takes place. But overall I liked it.
