Hi Ken. I think the reason I liked The Erasers so much more than I liked Jealousy and In the Labyrinth is because I read The Erasers for a class with an absolutely brilliant professor. I ended up doing a presentation on it and really had to go into the book in depth and do a lot of research, so I really felt like I understood the book. Jealousy was originally on the syllabus for that class, so I bought it and read the two together before the semester started. I was trying to get through it fast knowing I was going to be reading it again and going more in depth into it. Apparently it was out of print at the time, so the professor substituted The Erasers instead at the last minute. So I never got a chance to go back and really read it closely.

I enjoyed your review of Elmer Gantry. Babbit is the only one of Lewis’s novels that I’ve read so far, but I did enjoy it.
