Life seems a little off if I am not reading a book, or at my easel painting (frequently something inspired by what I've read). I am a full time graphic designer and part time freelance illustrator, and I enjoy talking to other readers about their latest fix. Check out my website if you are interested: mwaynemiller.com.

Hey Wayne. Ah I’ve probably missed something, I think I’m supposed to be looking for a switch on the wall in the cellar..but i must admit I skimmed the text parts what with being in the office. I’m not sure I fancy some of the food stuff in that cellar though – did u notice on the cellar shelves a couple of boxes of a product labelled ‘Shite’? (no, really). Hmmm, sounds delicious..not. At least they had what looks like a box of salt & vinegar Pringles on the sink in the kitchen, so not all bad..or maybe that’s just my imagination. Guess I’ll have to return to it when I get back after the Xmas break though.. good little distraction, and Dark Tower based too! Bonus. Well I guess the fact with both kind of imagined it to look that was is all credit to Kings descriptions – it’s spooky how Dixie Pig is so similar to how I imagined it.
I think you’re just using this as an excuse to break out the Dark Tower books again... I’ve read through it once, but listened 2 or 3 times more on audio book. :-) Well I may be a bit quite until I get back to work on the 4th, sooo wish you a very Merry Christmas a good luck for 2010!

Thanks for the invite, accepted of course.. don't get many Dark Tower fans around my way. It's my fave book ever of course. Stuck in the Dixie Pig now ;-) Liking the art in it, it's just as I imagined it would be. Nice that it works in browser, good for quiet times in the office.
    Happy Xmas

    Wayne,

I see by your shelf that we have more than SK in common.

It was surprising not to see Iain Banks on your shelf. Not that I've read his
books ( I need to wait for the price of his books to drop more. Even his used
sell at a premium, so I suppose the reviews are correct. )

If you haven't read him, perhaps you should investigate. By your shelf I would think
    you would like his work.

    Happy Holidays

I think he wrote it as a response to being unmasked... I heard Misery was supposed to be the next Bachman book. Fits right in with the rest, the horror's more physical than his usual supernatural stuff. And if he had written the Dark Half as a Bachman book wouldn't he have been immediately unmasked... I mean, it's in Castle Rock isn't it?

How was the Dark Half? I was going to try it soon. I heard it was a little different than his other stuff.

Just wondering, what do you think of those digital book-readers (like the Kindle and the Sony Reader)? I personally like the paper books better, but I seem to be in the minority.

Actually, I haven't read IT yet... but I will really soon! I was going to get it from my library but I wanted to wait for the paperback one, so it'll take a little longer.

Hey, Wayne. The program says you are reading The Year of the Flood. I just started it. We also have some other books in common, though your shelf seems a little more eclectic than miine. At any rate. Have a great day.

Well, I've read some of the comments you've written in the Horror group, and browsed your shelf a tad, so I thought you'd have a good idea on what books might work :).

Thanks so much for your suggestions, Wayne, I'm going to definitely look into them.

Hello there, Wayne. I was wondering if you could give me your input on something. I wish to read a book that will scare the living daylights out of me and/or will be highly disturbing (I enjoy getting in the mood for Halloween), and you appear to be an avid reader in the genre that deals with that. Is there any book (or more) that you might think fit that category?

Hi, Wayne and welcome to the Chiller group! Just wanted to let you know about a few things we have going on in the group. Our author of the month is Michelle Gagnon. She's leading discussions on both of her books and you're welcome to jump in if you like. If you do not want to participate that is fine, too. The group's been around for a while so there are a ton of threads. Hop on over to our introduction post and tell the group hi and talk about your favorite horror authors. Feel free to start your own discussion posts and browse our growing group shelf.

Any questions at all just ask, same for suggestions or ideas. If you would like to be added to the list of people that receives group update notes, please add Diamondgirl as a friend and leave her a note letting her know that you want Chiller updates.
