back cover :""Can't you see how much loving someone hurts?"

Justin de Wolfe's words were prophetic for Caroline Maxwell. Drawn to Justin by a fierce mutual passion, the usually sensible Caroline married him knowing that he couldn't love her—just as she couldn't help loving him.

She accepted the hazards of marriage to the arrogant, magnetic lawyer. But Justin's reaction to Caroline's eager announcement of her pregnancy shocked her to the core.

So many things about Justin needed an explanation—his aversion to love, his sudden changes of mood and the woman from his past whose name he cried out in his sleep. Her, most of all...."
what i think: i won't add anything so that i won't spoil the book for you.
but believe me it's a veeeery good one. very emotional indeed. i veeeery rarely read a harlequin novel because USUALLY they're not as emotional and satisfying as i want them to be (i do not mean any disrespect; it's my own personal opinion from my own personal experience). i thank goodness that i decided to read it anyway because it's veeeeeeery good and very satisfying i might add. i dare, yes i dare you, not to cry through reading it and i dare u not to smile whole-heartedly after reading it...
if u love an alpha scarred hero who really loves his woman but who doesn't dare to acknowledge his feelings because of his past personal wounds that left him very vulnerable, then this book is surely a keeper for you.
if u love a really strong heroine (she is certainly not a moron or a tstl heroine) who would do anything to protect what is hers and believe me the things or the events that she was supposed to deal with are outrageous, then this book is really for you.
and if you crave, like i do, veryyy emotional and satisfying endings, then this book should be yours.

as I expected it, it's a mind-blowing delight of a book. it's a page-turner from the first page to the last. you'll laugh, smile, sigh, cry and cry some more especially after you read the heart-warming ending but after reading it all you'll feel sated, satisfied and reaching for another delight from Judith McNaught. to be honest, though I enjoyed it so much, whitney, my love is by far better and more enjoyable. no one can compete with Clayton and Whitney. A Kingdom of Dreams is one of the best medieval romances ever written, you'll enjoy it tremendously

I'm sooooooooo sorry to say that I didn't really like this book at all. the first part was for me just nice and OK. the moment the hero opened his mouth and revealed his real opinion of our heroine, I was so shocked, so offended that I almost stopped reading it (which is something that I would never ever do no matter how terrible a book is).Linda Howard is one of my very best authors ever so, for just this fact, I kept reading it hoping that somehow the hero will redeem himself to me but NOTHING happened. the hero was never sorry and after everything he said and did, the heroine came back to him knowing that he has no respect and no feelings for her, knowing that he intended to keep her as his mistress while married to another. the worst part was the wedding night. it was so humiliating and hurtful ( yes! there is a wedding but believe me I've never heard of such humiliating and laughable proposal as this one. until this moment I can't understand why did she accept). bottom of line is it's the worst book Linda Howard has ever written (including independent wife) but it's not the worst I've ever read. it's a good example of how bad old harlequin books can get

WOW I liked this book sooo much that I immediately bought all of Gena Showalter books. it's a must read for all romance fans. you have it all in here: a hero to die for,a witty heroine,lough-out-loud situations, tenderness, paaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaassion and without a doubt love and much much more. if I were you, I wouldn't bother to read this ridiculous review but instead to hurry up to the closest book store and buy The Nymph King

  • Groom Of Fortune (Fortunes Children: The Grooms) (Silhoette Desire, No 1336)
    • Rated 5 stars

I LOVED Groom Of Fortune immensely. the plot, the characters were well-drawn. it was truly enjoyable yet too short (only 8 chapters). in fact, it had it all: a touching love story, great sex , a runaway bride and a very sexy cop.

  • Taming The Beast (Silhouette Desire, No 1361)
    • Rated 5 stars

Taming The Beast is a very touching, romantic and steamy novel. i loooooooooooooved both the hero and the heroine tremendously. their chemistry was instantaneous and there was no doubt that they'll fall for each other quick and hard. if you love reading about the beauty and the beast theme, then this book is the best for you. you'll love reading how the beauty tamed her beast and saved his soul...according to me, it deserves 10 stars. SUBLIME

    Wicked Loving Lies

    by Rosemary Rogers
    • Rated 1 stars

fans of rape, sexual assault, female disgrace, repeated and constant verbal and sexual abuse will be DELIGHTED to read this book. believe me if you are such a person, you'll be sorry to miss this GARBAGE. when i want to read a romance novel, it's NOT to be subjected to incessant torture. i don't read romance to be informed how whores (the heroine) were subjected to such humiliating and demeaning treatment by their "loving" masters (the hero). well call me crazy, picky or even obnoxious but i do NOT enjoy reading about abuse AT ALL. DISGUSTING

  • Having His Child (The Baby Bank) (Desire, 1383)
    • Rated 5 stars

    give me mooooooooore pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease!!!!!!
this is one of the best books I've ever read from Silhouette.it features one of my favorite themes ever (from best friends to lovers). the leading characters seem to be soul-mates more than best friends. they were in love with each other since the very first day they met (15 years ago) but they were afraid of commitment(especially the hero/ we have a scarred hero here if you're interested). a wonderful love story and when i say wonderful i mean mind-blowing, heart-shattering, soul-captivating, JUST WONDERFUL. if you are a romance addict, then YOU.HAVE.TO.READ.THIS.BOOK. great sexual tension. GREAT love scenes. great characters. are you still sitting, reading my review? go grab your purse and buy this book pronto!!!!!!!
