...sorry about the spilt posts. I keep hitting "Enter." Anyway, Samurai's gardent was so sweet! I hope you enjoy it. Am currently reading MOO by Jane Smiley. So far pretty cute. Hey, if you haven't seen the newest Jane Eyre movie (with Mia Wasacova as Jane), you should check it out. Loved it!
Hi, I'm checking what you've read. I just finished Jhumpa Lahiri, Unacustomed Earth which I really enjoyed. Let us know when you read Peace Like a River. I ordered the audio book and Miles is completely "hooked" on it as he is driving to all his state meetings. ct
Hi Jill! I'll be interested to hear what you think about The Book Thief. I thought narration by Death was really different and cool. Devil in the White City was fascinating - especially if you're into historical fiction and the planning of BIG events (World's Fair in Chicago). I'm waiting on When You Go Up In Smoke, David Sedaris' new memoir, from the library. Will let you know how it goes.
Have you read Digging to America. I am going to have to get Patty Jane's House of Curl. I enjoyed Angry Housewives Eating Bon Bons. I'm reading the Donna Leon mysteries set in Venice right now. Great characters. I also started The Friday Knitting Club, but am not impressed.
Patty Jane's House of Curl was by far my favorite Lorna Landvic book. SO charming! I also enjoyed Your Oasis on Flame Lake. I noticed you're reading The Book of Bright Ideas. That was a cute one. Can't remember the name of the little blonde fashionista with the mermaid hair, but she's a HOOT! Looking forward to your review:)
