I just wanted to recommend a few horse books: My Friend Flicka by Mary O'Hara, Misty of Chincoteague (I hope I spelled that right), and Stormy, Misty's Foal. I read all three when I was your age and I'm re-reading Flicka now, which is why I thought of it. You have a nice shelf of books. You're off to a good start!
