I love to read, books are my escape, my comfort and continuing education. There are too many books to read so the problem becomes which ones to choose. Time is infinite, but I am finite so I want to use my reading time wisely. Hopefully, this site will give me more direction and choice to follow.

Thanks for educating me. I practically bought out the store when I was there the last time - have a stack of about 15 new books to be read on my shelf. Will add the first title to my "to get" list - don't know about the second one, if you didn't like it.

Are you speaking of Kate Atkinson? Haven't read her before, and her book indicates she's written 6 novels including Case Histories, One Good Turn, Behind the Scenes at the Museum. Am not far into Good news yet, but so far, I like it.

    Hi,
Just finished "Tropic of Orange" by Karen Tei Yamashita. It was very different from one's usual novel....interesting format tho. One spends a week in L.A. with an assortment of varied and strange characters. Don't think I liked it much.
See you're a big Michael Connelly fan. Mysteries are your element? Have read Scott Turow, but it was some time ago. I agree with you on the subject of reading as the main part of one's life.
